Blog Tag – 5 Things You Didn’t Know!

Dec 20, 2006 by jason    Comments Off    Posted under: Web Stuff

You’re happy minding your own, watching Scrooged on TV and suddenly up pops a MSN message proclaiming “You’ve Been Blog Tagged”. Blog Tagging is where somebody links to your blog (tags them) and then you have to say 5 things that people don’t know about you in your blog. You then tag another 5 people (oh know…) who must join in the fun!

Having been tagged by Paul, Kieron and Paul – thanks guys (I think) – here’s the 5 blog tags things you didn’t know…

1. I have a PhD in Geochemistry. My thesis was titled The Distribution of Alkylphenols & Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Crude Oils and Coexisting Waters. This stunning piece of research included calculations of partition coefficients for C2-alkylphenols at high temperatures and pressures – it’s a right rivetting read!

2. I have a growing collection of ducks – my favourite is a grumpy, miserable looking duck – see below – and it sits on my desk next to a Welsh footballing gnome.

3. My favourite cartoon character is Dr. Zoidberg!

4. I support Southampton FC and saw Matt Le Tissier in Edinburgh before Saints played Hearts in a friendly game. I subsequently lost all use of speech and had to get my partner to get his autograph!

5. I got married to Jude in The Little White Chapel, Las Vegas in 2002. We had an Elvis impersonator called James Love who sang two songs – a good thing really as it padded the ceremony out from about 5 minutes to at least ten. The ceremony was also attended by a French family who happened to be passing and wanted to see inside the chapel. We invited them in just to add further surreality to the event.

Well that was painful – and as I’ve done it I’ll blog tag the following James Little, Keith Bond, Fraser, Jess Luthi and Jude (simply to get her posting on her blog)!
