Please Make Finding Updated Creative Easier!

Despite the decorations in the store, the panic on the high street about lack of spending, and affiliates being sent lots of parcels it does seem that some merchants have forgotten that Christmas is just around the corner. Either that or they’ve given up producing creative or perhaps there’s a credit creative crunch? I’ve spent some time this morning looking for 120×600 festive banners - and blimey it’s a slog and a half.

In most cases it’s impossible to see at a glance who’s got new banners and who’s taken to the time to upload something closely resembling anything festive. Those that have done (and blimey there’s only a few) then frustratingly decide that a 4000×1285 button looks good, but perhaps a 120×600 isn’t useful!

All very frustrating and all very time consuming - especially when you end up wading through Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day and even Christmas 2007 creative.

But one network tops the Christmas Tree of Creative Searching?

Surprisingly it’s Tradedoubler! With TD I can search for creative by size, by date updated and by type (flash, gif, etc.) meaning I can quickly pick up things a lot lot quicker. Even better than that, it provides an at a glance overview of some of the latest promotions like who’s doing discounts, competitions, free delivery - so I can see if there’s anything extra worth pushing.

TD Banner Search

It’s not 100% perfect, but as is no other network offers a similar option (if you do let me know where it is!).

Oh and everyone else… Christmas 2008 is nearly here… show us your banners!

AHA! You obviously haven’t seen the Search Links facility in the webgains interface! Allows you to search by type (graphic, html, email), size, merchant, keyword and see recent banners as well

    Of any use?
