Time to Experiment Part 2
Posted under: After just a few days Google has picked up our new site that is part of a mini experiement (full details). At present it’s only the homepage and unless you know the domain name it’s not going to get found… but at least it’s there and hopefully that’ll mean the rest of the pages will follow suit.
MSN and Googlebot have both been in a couple of times too. One problem did arise with one bot spidering something which it shouldn’t done because of a coding error. Actually it was just lazy coding (missing out tags) and so these errors have been sorted out, not only on this site, but also on a couple of other’s where the same kind of coding is used.
So far though there’s no traffic, so we’re still down £6 in domain name costs! How long will it be before that one search result in Google becomes traffic?
