Shoot The MSN Messenger

MSN Messenger is a wonderful tool for keeping in contact with affiliates/merchants/networks. Usually I’m set to being online all the time (the computer is always on) and I usually try and reply straight away and don’t mind having the odd chat (if I don’t reply within 10 minutes I’m probably not there!).

Today I was busy working when up popped a messenger window with just a question “do you prefer blah or blah blah” – No “Hi it’s Merchant X how are you” (it’s always Merchant X isn’t it?) or “Hi Jason do you have a spare moment?” – just straight in with the question! Maybe it’s because today is one of our busiest days and I’m flat out sorting things out and a therefore a bit more tetchier than usual but bloomin’ heck – a little bit of civility woudldn’t go amiss! It doesn’t take much to say Hello before asking a question now does it!!?

Anyway, after that in comes an email – well actually four emails, all from the same person wanting to work with us. Anyway, if you want to work with us and want to convice us that you’re a decent company then these aren’t the kind of emails you should be sending:

…we are spending over £300,000 a year at the momment with another company hence i am using my personal e mail.we are going to move our client base to another company,so please call.YOU HAVE NO CONTACT NUMBERS AND ARE NOT LISTED ON D ENQ?SO WILL NEED CALL FROM YOUR OFFICE ASAP…
