Poetry In Motion Or How Affiliate Management Should Be!

There’s been a fair bit of annoyance lately with the way some affiliate managers act towards affiliates, so it’s nice to be able to lavish some praise on one for a change. At around midday today the manager in question sent me over a messenger requesting telling me his merchant has a competition and “can we use it” in promotions.

“Of course we can” is the reply!
“Would you like a banner for that” the AM enquires.
“If you have 120×600 that would be great”.
“Might be a few days, I’ll see what we can do”

A few hours pass, and before close of play a banner is delivered, promoting not only the competition but a discount code too – two brilliant calls to action! There’s the slight downer that is has Manchester United on it!

So well done to Sean Carter, MV Media and 24 Studio – once again demonstrating how easy managing and engaging affiliates can be!

Stop! Banner Time!
stop... banner time

The result is that the banner will now spend a few days in residence on our homepage – hopefully generating clicks and sales. Beyond that it also makes me want to promote 24 Studio and feature them on other sites and in newsletters.

Everybody wins, and that’s how affiliate marketing should be!

  • I must also heap some praise on Sean Carter, I’ve had the odd bit of communication with him in the past and I must say he is a great affiliate manager. I hope to be able to work with him on something this year (I’ll get to your merchants Sean – honest!!).

Incidentally, I’m loving you genuis new addition to the blogroll. Absolutely inspired!!

  • I have to agree on Sean Carter. A very lovely guy who goes above and beyond to get affiliates the tools they need to promote his merchants. Very pro-active, he seems to ‘get’ AM more than most others.
