Problem is most Merchants couldn't tell you what the right thing to do is (again not all Merchants as some get up set when I say most) and besides a quick check of the IAB members in the ecommerce section and look over the past year of things they have done in the Affiliate Marketing space and you will soon see why a code of conduct for Merchants would solve many of the issues overnight. However what we are most likely to see is Affiliates do this and that or your out.. But what do I know, I have nothing whatsoever to do with the IAB and they can come up with anything they like but if they don't involve the main voices in the Affiliate Marketing space they will be on to plumbs.
