I Want a Free Tshirt … and Other Freebies

Patrick Hundt is offering 50 Free Tshirts simply for writing a review about Spreadshirt Marketplace. Well, as no one ever sends us any freebies (well ok, some of you do, but the rest are too busy sending stuff to Befuddle and Kieron!) it’s time to try and bag a free tshirt!

Spreadshirt Marketplace is a place where you can find loads of different designs, choose one you like, apply it to a tshirt, mug, pair of pants, badge.. anything .. and buy it! There are 1000s of designs to choose from and they’re all split up into various categories including Animals, Love & Sex, Computer, News, Politics and Shapes.

With so many to choose from it’s tough to nail down through the many designs, but there is a search facility… that doesn’t work for filtering out designs! A search for “duck” gives no results, but there are duck tshirt designs! A good idea for Spreadshirt therefore would be to get a search facility in place that searches the designs - otherwise you have to wade through a variety of levels, which is ok, but things can start to look samey after a while - and if you know what you’re after to start with it’s a bit frustrating. This lack of search functionality could lose customers from the marketplace.

Digital Duck
Fortunately there are a couple of duck designs and the best of the lot is the Digital Duck.

It would be good if there was an option to set the colours - that could be some functionality for the future perhaps? This design might look better with a yellow duck for example?

Anyway, that’s a brief look at Spreadshirt Marketplace - potentially a great place to find cool designs like “Digital Duck”, but there needs to be a working search facility and options for colour changes (at least when the design is black and white). There is a Spreadshirt Affiliate program on Affiliate Future but it’s unclear whether you can earn on sales through Marketplace.

Anyway - you see the effort OLD, that’s One Little Duck by the way has to go through just to get a freebie! It’s not on! Gadgets, chocolate, things that are duck related (yeah, I know it’s weird, but ducks have been lucky), wine (not beer though), holidays, cars… you know the stuff .. they’re all welcome at Duck Towers!

    1. Hey there,

Thanks for supporting the Safari ;)
Just two things: there’s also an affiliate programme on CJ and, yes, you can on sales through the marketplace.
That search functionality is going to come, definitely. It seems to be harder to do than it actually looks.

    2. congratulations Jason - No. 1 in Google UK for ‘digital duck’ - or where you always there for this term?

    3. No - although it’s only #1 on google (UK sites only) - that’s cool - I can do SEO me *lol* :)
