Ah, the end of the year - a time to reflect on the year gone by and consider the New Year ahead! Following a post on A4U, Goals for 2007, affiliates are posting their aims for next year (more money, less work, more play, etc etc) and no doubt the “how was 2006 for you?” thread will follow shortly.
So, how was 2006? Well it wasn’t half bad and if 2007 is the same then that’ll be quite nice - simple as that!
As for my aspirations for next year, well they are pretty much the same as they have been since we started full time back at the start of 2000 (2 years after starting) and that’s quite simply make enough money to exist. Over time an additional target has been added and that’s to reach target 1 as quickly as possible (which in turn means have more time to make more profit). In truth these are financial year targets and not New Year resolutions, but hey!
The “rest” (i.e. other resolutions and aims) are what we do already (keep developing, improving, updating), although I guess working smarter, rather than harder, is always a good thing to consider. I don’t fancy taking on anything new - for example starting to experiment with PPC - but who know’s? The beauty (!) of affiliate marketing is you’re never sure what will come next.
One thing I should try and do in 2007 is overcome a fear of gadgets and technology. I have some ideas that I’d like to implement but that involves overcoming a growing phobia of anything remotely gadgetty beyond the PC. I still haven’t worked out how to use my Ipod!
