![]() | Making A Proper Turkey Of Link Partners |
Received an email today from a well known producer of bootiful poultry products who were looking for “link partners”. They offered the usual blurb of “we’ve been looking at your site” and “here’s what we’d like you to add” and as the email said “partners” stupidly I assumed that this meant they’d reciprocate the link.
In the spirit of panto season “oh no it doesn’t”!
Link partners actually means “Unfortunately I am unable to add a links page which is unfortunate, but we are providing users with free recipe ideas and some good content” - well that’s alright then isn’t! Makes me want to go and start adding links right away - being a link partner and all!
In reality the link partner offer is in fact nothing but a right turkey! I’ve really got the bird about this issue, it’s definitely ruffled a few feathers, but am far too polite to tell them to go and get stuffed.. or maybe I’m just too chicken to tell them to duck off.
