Well finally what I’ve been waiting for has arrived… a few quid’s worth of holiday vouchers that were won after a successful merchant/network promotion. A big thanks to that network (and especially the poor affiliate manager) for getting everything sorted and also to the merchant for donating what is an exceptional prize (and the biggest value I’ve ever won in nearly 10 years of competitions). Anyway, as Loquax is a partnership the prize has now been split between two people so that’s double the joy.
Anyway this exciting event has meant most of the day going through Thomas Cook’s website looking at variety of holidays. Las Vegas is a possibility, as is Florida, but current favourite is a Safari in Kenya (it depends on whether I can get my head around injections, mosquitos, and the thoughts of creepy crawlies just to go and see some elephants). Whereever we decide to go, the aim is to make it a holiday to remember (and it won’t be Spain as after June 2007 the only holiday destination will be Spain!)
If other merchants/networks want to offer promotions where we actually have a chance of winning then great stuff, we’ll have a bash! If you want to offer promotions where we have no chance of winning then we won’t (for example “make 7million sales in a day to win a teddy” type promotions).
Anyway another big thanks to all involved in organising the promotion and for (finally) getting things sorted out. I’ll fill in the blanks to who’s who if I’m giving the ok to do so… and as we can… thank you Coral, Brand Conversions and Catherine for sorting everything out!!!
