All Rise! A4U Goes Vertical!

The A4U forum has launched their first vertical forums for travel and casino/gambling affiliates. This is a great idea and for the first time takes discussion away from centering around the affiliate networks. The forums are a good way to communicate with the networks, but discussion tends to be about what’s good or bad with a specific network and often leads to strained relations especially when it’s the bad aspects.

Vertical (or subject specific) forums mean affiliates can discuss issues within sectors and also allow merchants to connect with interested affiliates. Hopefully these two new areas will spark debate and business for all concerned and that further channels for other sectors will be introduced.

I’ve added a couple of links to other affiliate blogs (sorry if you’re not listed, let me know and I’ll add a link). Kieron’s UKOffer Blog comes highly recommended, even just to be amazed that anyone can work on what must be world’s tidiest affiliate desk (mine is scattered in paper, books, ducks, and a fat black cat!). Jessica Luthi is probably the most well known affiliate program managers. This is affiliate marketing from the flip side and an interesting blog full of hints and tips for merchants and affiliates. Affiliate Blog by Fraser offers an affiliate’s eye view on AM and there’s some great posts and links to various articles that could help with your sites (and if you have a few hours spare to read them all).

This is the affiliate blog of Jason Dale, co-director of Loquax, which has been running (successfully) since 1998. One Little Duck is for news, views and observations about affiliate marketing, being a siteowner, a reluctant business person, a shy social networker and just general observations.
