![]() | Numbers Up For Lottery Program! |
We’ve recently been promoting a well known photographic company with one of the networks. The promotion was for registrations and part of the promotion was for a chance to win a camera - closing date January 5th!
Being quite good at monitoring closing dates and making sure our users don’t waste their time the promotion was dutifully ended on January 6th. Three days later an email arrives asking for “extra promotion” as the campaign may be extended… well hang on - how can it be extended if the landing page has terms saying it’s closed? Surely the agencies and people involved see this?
Despite emailing in explaining the situation the landing page stays the same, there’s been no reply and so we’re left with being unable to promote a decent program that converts well.
Which is slightly different to The National Lottery affiliate program where we’re now going to be left with links unable to go to landing pages as the program is being terminated - or temporarily closed for a few months (which usually means terminated). The weird thing is here is that only a few days ago an announcement was made regarding a new commission structure. How the heck can that happen?
Having complained like mad to be allowed to promote The National Lottery program, it’s even more annoying to be forced sit back for a few months whilst more budget is allocated. I suggest they have a go at the Euromillions and see if they can win a share of the £80million!
As an affiliate it’s incredibly frustrating having access to programs restricted at short notice or being unable to generate revenue because someone somewhere can’t do something as basic as get a landing page up to date!
The number’s are definately up for the lottery program for the time being (unless there’s a rollover) but as for the photographic company program - all we can do is sit back and see what develops.
