A Tale of Two Calls

It took two phone calls to get the latest trademark problem sorted out.

The first call was to the company involved. They already had ignored all emails to them so a quick call this morning was met with “I’ll speak to our MD”. All in all not particularly helpful and as yet no return call or even an email. Boooooo!

The second call was direct to Google. The Adwords people though were very helpful and within 5 minutes the offending ad had gone and everything was back to normal. They even phoned back to confirm things had been resolved. Hooray!!!

Getting our name trademarked was probably one of our best decisions. It is distinctive and unlike many or our competitors does not contain generic terms. Information about how to apply for a trademark can be found at the Patents Office. It does cost a few pounds, but is well worth it.

Update… spoke too soon, adverts are back!
