Loquax got a brief mention in The Independent yesterday. Apparently we were listed as one of three sites as “Websites for the Workshy” - which is great for us, but no doubt many employers will now consider blocking Loquax so their employees are not wasting hours entering competitions and trying to win cool prizes (and some not so cool prizes too).
Talking of blocking Loquax, whilst updating my Friends Reunited profile, the nice people there no longer allow me to mention the company name. Now Loquax is a pretty obscure word at the best of times, so it does make you wonder how the heck they fished that one out. Perhaps they too think Loquax is a swear word?
One company name that should be a swear word is AOL! A note has now been added to our registration set up that tells AOL users that if they wish to register with Loquax then they should consider using an alternative email address. Almost all of our mails to AOL users are now lost - i.e. double opt in AOL users wanting emails from us don’t receive their emails.
