Casino Deposit Questions

Here’s a great offer for casino affiliates… or is it?

“Dgm are pleased to inform that Vegas Red are extending their Premium Offer of £120 Commission PER valid account opened [for players depositing £30 or more]”

Wow! £120 commission! Erm, hang on though what’s that bit in brackets - [for players depositing £30 or more] - mean? Is it for players depositing more than £30 when they first open their casino account or is it for players who deposit cumulatively more than £30 over a number of deposits or is it unlimited - so a player could deposit say 3 x £10 over a month and the affiliate gets paid the bounty?

Let’s say it’s based on initial deposit only, well some customers may want to test the casino first, so only deposit £10 or £20 (they’d also probably qualify for a matched deposit bonus). That means, in theory, the affiliate will not see the £120 CPA as the customer didn’t deposit £30 or more - yet that customer could go on and spend a lot of time and money with the casino. That then begs the question what happens to the bounty and potential revshare generated by such a player - assuming it’s the method employed in this program.

If it was cumulative (i.e. a player spends £20, then only needs to spend a further £10 to earn the affiliate income) then at least the affiliate has a chance to earn the bounty. However with batched reporting (as I believe this program is using) it’s very unclear as what’s happening and what your players are doing.

To tabulate things to make them clearer - we’re assuming that….

Player X Deposits over £30…. affiliate earns £120
Player Y Deposits £25 then another £25 …. affiliate earns - we don’t know?
Player Z Deposits £25 and leaves … affiliate earns nothing!

My advice is look beyond the big £££ signs and analyse how programs work with your customers and whether you’d be better off looking elsewhere. Casino programs from the likes of Brand Conversions and Bet365 offer more transparency that network based casino programs and most certainly for us has proved to be a better option when it comes to generating revenue.
